Web Design and Development

As a Web Designer I take the vision of the client and create a functional, organized, and visually attractive presentation of information. Presentation and appearance, especially of websites, determines, in part, how credible the information appears to the user, which has an impact on the value the user puts on it.

In the course of my professional and educational experience, I have performed the duties of an Information Architect, Designer, and Developer for various types of web-based projects. These duties include:

• determining a client's design and functionality requirements
• conducting competitive analyses
• conducting usability and accessibility evaluations
• creating site content inventories
• creating prototypes for new websites or re–designs
• writing functional specifications for web–based applications
• creating style guides
• writing user guides
